Back then, Michael was working four part-time jobs daily, navigating the bustling streets of Tokyo. Each day, he would juggle work at dawn, noon, and late into the night, just to save every yen he could. These weren't just jobs; they were stepping stones to a dream. Michael knew that to build something meaningful, he needed to lay a strong foundation-and that foundation was financial stability.

When he finally returned to Malaysia with his hard-earned savings, Michael ventured into multiple businesses, trying to find his footing. Each failure was a lesson learned, each setback a push to move forward. But fate had its plans. His path led him to the security business, a decision that would shape the course of his life and the lives of many others.

He began by producing transformers as a subcontractor for Japanese companies, leveraging the high standards he learned while in Japan. The products were crafted with meticulous precision and excellence.

Success came quickly-the workforce grew to 300, and Elock became a trusted partner. But as life often has it, challenges arose. The 1997 financial crisis struck, and what was once a flourishing business was put to the test.

With 300 workers looking up to him, Michael couldn't afford to falter. That's when he took a bold step. He decided to pivot the company's focus and explore the overseas market. With the technology they mastered for transformers, Michael ventured into producing magnetic door locks.

Step by step, door by door, Michael and his team introduced Elock to the world. Their magnetic door locks, embodying Japanese precision and Malaysian ingenuity, began to find their way into homes, offices, and industries across the globe. Today, Elock's products have reached over 75 countries worldwide.

7 Reasons Why You Should Choose ELOCK Magnetic Door Lock

Circuit Board

ELOCK electromagnetic lock circuit boards are carefully design to ensure it is 99% failure free. Electronic components inside purchase through authorize distributor to guarantee that parts is genuine original. A low quality magnetic lock, circuit board design is very simple, electronic component inside is not genuine.

Resistance Measurement

ELOCK electromagnetic lock support dual voltage, 12VDC and 24VDC. This selection can be done by setting jumper at pin header terminal. When remove all jumpers and measure / test the pin header terminals, coil resistance should be 50 ohms. Below 50ohms consider as low quality electromagnetic lock.

Current Value After Power ON

ELOCK electromagnetic lock, when supply 12VDC, it consume 450mA to 500mA current. While 24VDC, it consume 250mA current. This means lock holding force is good, maintain at 600lbs or 1200lbs. Below this standard current value, consider as low electromagnetic lock as holding force is below 600lbs or 1200lbs standard.

Insulation Value

ELOCK electromagnetic lock, every single lock must undergo a high-pot test to ensure insulation is 100% pass, typical value must above 50 Megaohm. Below this Megaohm value consider a fail, low quality electromagnetic lock.

Copper Wire

ELOCK electromagnetic lock, used high heat resistance EIW pure copper wire for all series. This is to ensure durable and long lasting operation in door access system. A low quality electromagnetic lock used low heat resistance, not pure copper wire, thus will fail in short period of time.

Laminated E-Core

ELOCK electromagnetic lock, used a customized thin laminated steel plate to reduce / minimized power loss in coil and maximize magnetic field to armature plate. A low quality electromagnetic lock used thick laminated steel plate, thus power loss happen in coil.

Physical Appearance

ELOCK electromagnetic lock, armature plate surface finish is smooth and luster. Anodized aluminium turn EM lock aluminium housing into corrosive resistance, decorative and durable. There are 3 horizontal lines show unique & quality identity of ELOCK electromagnetic lock. A low quality electromagnetic lock, armature surface and aluminium housing finish is very rough.
